Technische Universiteit Delft (TUD) is in McGEA represented by Biotechnology department of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, which focuses on the use of industrial biotechnology for sustainable production of fuels, chemicals, materials, food and feed. TUD team knowledge includes the expertise in:
- investigating, designing and testing novel biocatalysts.
- unique microsecond timescale rapid mixing techniques, employed in a continuous flow UV-vis spectrophotometric device, and a rapid microsecond timescale freeze hyperquench device, which are two orders of magnitude faster than commercially available instruments,
- applied and environmental biotechnology, bioremediation and biodegradation.
