Technische Universität Berlin (TUB) is one of the largest technical universities in Germany. The McGEA team members belong to UniSysCat cluster of excellence dedicated to research on biological and chemical catalysis at TU, having the expertise in:
- quantum chemical molecular modelling and atomistic simulations which will be crucial for linking structural, electronic and spectroscopic properties of the studied metalloenzymes,
- theoretical approaches for identifying electron transfer driving forces and for predicting protein adsorption on biocompatible surfaces,
- advanced vibrational spectroscopy,
- gas-converting biocatalysts, their genetic engineering, molecular biology and biochemistry.
